On-Staff Coaches
These coaches are on staff year-round, and are available for private lessons year-round (based on availability). Please email Coach Alison to schedule lessons with any of our on-staff instructors.
Alison (Gaffney) Coulson
Coach Alison covers all bases of softball instruction: hitting, pitching, fielding, catching, slap-hitting, and everything in between. During her college years (2014-2018), she served as a Student Coach and General Manager for the College of Charleston’s D1 CAA Softball team. In 2018, she spent time as an umpire in South Florida, and in 2019 as an elite 14U coach in Central Texas. Upon moving back to Massachusetts, Coach Alison rejoined the AtBats family in late 2020. She trained at the facility herself from ages 10-18, and she is now returning as a coach. She currently coaches and coordinates all AtBats softball programs, serves as the Varsity Assistant Coach at Shrewsbury High School, and is the Head Coach of the 16U Raiders Regional Softball team. Hudson Schwartz
Coach Hudson is now 2-years deep into his AtBats coaching career. He has over 10 years of playing experience for Acton Boxboro Baseball, and is a member of the ABRHS Class of 2026. Coach Hudson covers all areas of baseball instruction, including hitting, fielding, pitching and catching. While he currently assists on many of our baseball camps and clinics, he is also available for private lessons.
Jenna Gale
Coach Jenna joined the AtBats coaching staff this past winter of 2023. She is a member of the Nashoba Regional High School Class of 2026, as well as a player on the 16U National Raiders Softball team. She has been a member of the Nashoba Varsity softball team since her freshman year. Her primary positions include shortstop, second base, and outfield.

Coach Jenna specializes in softball hitting and fielding instruction, and you can catch her assisting Coach Alison on camps and clinics. She is also available for private lessons in hitting and fielding for ages 7 to 13.
Georgia Ammendolia
Coach Georgia joined the AtBats coaching team this past winter of 2023. She is a member of the Acton Boxboro Regional High School Class of 2026, and plays for the tourney program Team Boston Academy's 16U team. She has been a member of the ABRHS Varsity softball team since her 8th grade year. Her primary positions are catcher and second base.

Coach Georgia specializes in softball catching, hitting, and fielding instruction, and you can catch her assisting Coach Alison on camps and clinics. She is also available for private lessons in catching, hitting, and fielding for ages 7 to 13.
Shamus Rowe
Coach Seamus joined the AtBats coaching team this past winter of 2023. He is a member of the Marlboro High School Class of 2025, and his primary position is catcher.

Coach Seamus specializes in baseball catching, hitting, and fielding instruction, and you can catch him running our baseball catching camps and clinics, as well as working alongside Coach Hudson. He is also available for private lessons in catching, hitting, and fielding for ages 7 to 14.
Jacob Schwartz
Shockingly not related to Coach Hudson, Coach Jake joined the AtBats coaching staff in the spring of 2024. He is a member of the Nashoba Regional High School Class of 2026, and his primary position is pitcher. He has over 10 years of baseball experience, and coached for 2 years before joining the AtBats staff.

Coach Jake specializes in baseball pitching, hitting, and fielding instruction, and you can catch him working alongside Coach Hudson on camps and clinics. He is also available for private lessons in pitching, hitting, and fielding for ages 7 to 13.
Collegiate Coaches
These coaches are all currently attending college, and are continuing their involvement in baseball and softball. They are available for lessons during school breaks (ie, Thanksgiving/Christmas time) and summer vacations.

Nick Willand
Coach Nick Willand is a two-way player at Division 2 American International College (left-handed pitcher & first baseman). Prior to college, he was an Acton-Boxboro baseball player and DCL All-Star. He was also a member of the Nor’easters 18U National Team. He has previously run clinics and taught private lessons at AtBats and specializes in pitching, hitting, and fielding. Stephen Sullivan
Coach Stephen Sullivan (known around AtBats as “Sully”) was a right-handed pitcher for the Acton-Boxboro High School Varsity team. A member of the ABRHS Class of 2023, Sully has been coaching young players at AtBats and other programs since he was a freshman in 2019. With over 15 years of baseball playing experience, Coach Stephen specializes in baseball pitching instruction, but also works with hitters and fielders as well. Coach Stephen now attends Rhode Island College as a member of the class of 2027, and will play baseball. Billy Walsh
Coach Billy was a 4-year starter at Maynard High School as a pitcher and infielder, graduating in 2021. He is continuing his baseball career at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. He had 5 appearances and 1 win, against Rivier University, in his freshman year for the Trailblazers. Billy is entering his sophomore season this spring as a pitcher and shortstop. He specializes in pitching, hitting, and general skills for baseball. Billy is available for private lessons during his winter breaks and summer vacations. Caitlin Cassidy
Coach Caitlin specializes in hitting and catching instruction. She currently works as a General Manager for Auburn University's D1 SEC Softball team. She has 5 years of varsity experience under her belt including 4 years as the starting catcher, including her freshman year where she played a pivotal role in her team’s 2019 State Championship win. As a captain in the 2021 and 2022 seasons, she led her team to back-to-back appearances in the District Championships including a win in 2022. Caitlin received multiple awards during her time at Hudson including Metrowest Daily News All-Star, League All-Star, Metrowest Daily News Player to Watch, and Hudson High’s Russ Davis Scholarship. Charlotte Yourk
Coach Charlotte assists on many of our general skills, hitting, and fielding clinics. She specializes in outfield and first base, but also has experience pitching and is a great option for young pitchers that are just starting out. She currently attends Acton-Boxboro High School and is a member of the class of 2023. She played for the Raiders Softball program for 5 years from 12U up through 18U and has started for the ABRHS varsity softball program for the last 3 years. Coach Charlotte has been a member of the Acton-Boxboro and AtBats softball family for many years and is excited to move from a participant to a coaching position! Harrison Pratt
Coach Harrison specializes in baseball catching and hitting. He is a former Acton-Boxboro High School graduate and was a part of their baseball program for all 4 years he attended. He’s now attending Saint Louis University, where he plays Division 1 NCBA Club Baseball. Coach Harrison joined the AtBats family last year during his senior year at ABRHS. He runs a variety of catching, hitting, and fielding clinics, as well as coaches private lessons. He is available

Olivia Comolli
Coach Olivia is an infield, catching, and hitting coach who won player of the year her senior year of high school. She is currently competing competitively as a part of Ithaca College’s softball program. She finished her senior high school season with the top batting average in the DCL large, ending her high school career with 18 homers and 92 RBIs, and finished in the top three on the team for fielding percentage. Olivia is also an AtBats alumnus, having invested years of hard work and training during her softball career with AtBats instructors. Olivia instructs private lessons in hitting, fielding, and catching and also runs and assists specialty AtBats clinics. Zofia Sargent
Coach Zofia specializes in hitting, fielding, and softball pitching instruction. She graduated from Shrewsbury High School in the class of 2023, with 3 varsity seasons under her belt after losing her freshman season to COVID in 2020. She was a league MVP both her junior and senior years, as well as a League All-Star both years as well. She served as a captain during her senior season.

Coach Zo is continuing her softball career at Trinity College as a member of their softball program, and their class of 2027.

Livi Sousa
Coach Livi specializes in softball general fielding, hitting, and pitching instruction. She has been working as the head and assistant coach for many intro clinics AtBats has to offer, and she also has experience in private lessons in those areas. Livi attends Hudson High School and is a member of the class of 2024. She is currently in her second year playing with CMX (Central Mass Xplosion), and in the past has played for CMV (Central Mass Voodoo) for one year, and Hudson Demolition for 5 years. She has also started at second base for Hudson High’s Varsity team for the past 2 years as a freshman and a sophomore. Livi has been a part of the Hudson Softball community since she was four and has been training at AtBats for 9 years.

Catherine Seay
Coach Catherine specializes in softball catching, hitting, and fielding instruction. A member of the Marlboro High School Class of 2024, Coach Catherine has been captain of the Marlboro High Varsity Softball team since her sophomore season in 2022. She played the last 4 years of tournament ball with Central Mass Explosion, and will finish her tourney career with her team merging into Polar Crush.

Coach Catherine is continuing her softball career at Southern New Hampshire University as a member of their softball team and the Class of 2028.

Maddie Smith
Coach Maddie specializes in softball general fielding, hitting, and catching instruction. She currently attends Acton-Boxborough Regional High School and is a member of the class of 2024. Maddie currently plays for Raiders 16U Softball team and has played on the high school varsity team for the past two consecutive years. Coach Maddie and her family have been part of the AtBats family since she was 7, and part of various Acton-Boxborough Softball programs since she was 5.

Ally Cassidy
Coach Ally specializes in softball infield and hitting for ages 5-11. She currently assists on many of our softball intro clinics. Ally attends Hudson High School and is a member of the class of 2024. She played for Hudson Demolition for 6 years as a first baseman and plays currently for the Hudson High School program. She has been part of the Hudson Softball community for 11 years and has been training and working at AtBats for 3 years.

Coach Ally will attend the University of New Hampshire as a nursing student in the Class of 2028.
Specialty Coaches
These coaches partner with AtBats to host their lessons, but arrange them and price their time independently from AtBats. Customers pay for and schedule cage space and then pay the coaches directly for private lessons.
Nick Vennochi
Coach Vennochi is entering his eighth season as the head coach of Emerson’s Baseball Program. The culture has shifted, and the team has become increasingly competitive in the NEWMAC conference. The 2022 season showed that shift as the Lions posted double-digit wins for the first time since 2012 and had their most NEWMAC wins since joining the conference. The Melrose MA native graduated from St. John’s Preparatory school in Danvers in 2007. Then graduated from Emerson in 2011, and then completed his Masters at Endicott College’s Van Loan School in 2013. Vennochi played three seasons for the Lions Baseball Program, including being named a captain and team’s MVP his senior year. In his three seasons, Vennochi tallied 81 hits and a .299 average over his 95-game collegiate career. He was a part of Emerson Baseball’s most successful season in 2010 when the club won 15 games.
Allie Hardy
Coach Allie is one of our top pitching coaches at AtBats. She previously pitched for Leominster High School, as well as WPI, where she earned All-NEWMAC Conference Honors. She has long-time experience coaching pitchers at all levels, from new pitchers to elite high school, tournament, and collegiate ball. She is now the JV Head Coach at Littleton High School. At AtBats, she specializes in pitching instruction for all ages.
